Lunes 26 de noviembre del 2012.- El Grupo SETRAM, operador especializado en la Logística Integral de la Automoción, ha renovado con Chevrolet su contrato de recepción portuaria, preparación técnica y distribución de vehículos a concesionarios para España y Francia. De esta forma se amplía una relación comercial que se inició en el año 2010.
Los vehículos de Chevrolet tienen su origen en Corea y llegan por barco a la Terminal de SETRAM en el Puerto de Barcelona, que funciona como Hub Europeo para esta marca. En concreto, SETRAM gestiona 50.000 vehículos al año para Chevrolet.
La función de SETRAM consiste en la recepción y manipulación de los vehículos en su Terminal del Puerto de Barcelona; la realización de servicios de valor añadido, como el PDI y montaje de accesorios, así como la formación de lotes, gestiones aduaneras y entrega directa a concesionario, tanto en España como en Francia.
El volumen de vehículos Chevrolet para España y Francia gestionado por SETRAM, previstos para este ejercicio, convierte a Chevrolet en el principal usuario de este tipo de servicios para vehículos de importación en el Puerto de Barcelona.
Todo ello consolida las instalaciones de SETRAM en el Puerto de Barcelona, que abarcan más de 250.000 m² de superficie, 150.000 m²de ellos cubiertos y capacidad para 13.000 vehículos, como plataforma multimodal para tráficos de importación y exportación.
SETRAM valora muy positivamente la prolongación del contrato con Chevrolet. Ante todo por elegir el Puerto de Barcelona, para la distribución de sus vehículos en Francia, teniendo en cuenta que lo hacía anteriormente desde un puerto en Bélgica, un ejemplo más de que la globalización convierte a Europa en una parte más del mercado nacional, para cualquier servicio logístico y a Barcelona en particular como uno de los puertos mas atractivos del arco mediterráneo
También ha sido determinante para la renovación de este contrato, además de tener una satisfacción por la realización de los servicios solicitados, por parte de Chevrolet, el hecho de que la Terminal Logistica de SETRAM, en el Puerto de Barcelona, así como los servicios de Transporte de SETRAM, siguen siendo valorados por ANFAC entre los de mejor calidad en España.
Con este contrato, SETRAM ratifica el concepto de que la utilización de un único operador que abarque toda la cadena logística, desde la recepción portuaria, hasta la preparación técnica, el control de trazabilidad, la gestión del espacio aduanero y el transporte de Distribución, es la mejor solución integral a nivel económico y de calidad que se puede ofrecer a un fabricante de automóviles.
Chevrolet renews the contract signed with SETRAM for the Spanish and French markets
Monday November 26th 2012 – The SETRAM Group, logistic operator specialized in Automobile Logistics, has renewed its contract for port handling, technical preparation and distribution of vehicles to dealers in Spain and France. This signature widens a commercial relation which started in 2010.
Chevrolet vehicles leave from Korea and arrive by ship to the SETRAM Terminal in the Port of Barcelona which works as the European Hub for this brand. Particularly, SETRAM manages 50.000 Chevrolet vehicles every year.
SETRAM’s work includes the reception and handling of vehicles in its terminal in the Port of Barcelona; the disposal of value added services (as PDI and the assembly of accesories), as well as batch determination, customs management and direct delivery to Chevrolet dealers in Spain and France.
The volume of Chevrolet vehicles bound for Spain and France managed by SETRAM in this year turns Chevrolet into the mean user of this kind of services developed for imported vehicles that arrive in the Port of Barcelona.
For all these reasons, SETRAM installations in the Port of Barcelona (with more of 250.000 square metres, 150.000 of them covered and with space for 13.000 vehicles) have been consolidated as a perfect multi-modal platform for the import and export traffics.
SETRAM considers the renewal of the contract with Chevrolet to be positive. In particular, the company appreciates that Chevrolet has chosen the Port of Barcelona for the distribution of its cars in France. It must be taken into consideration that the automobile company used to operate in a Belgian port, which is a further evidence that the globalization makes of Europe a part of the national market for every logistic service and turns Barcelona into one of the more active ports of the Mediterranean arch.
The deciding factor for the renewal of this contract has been Chevrolet satisfaction with the services asked to be provided by SETRAM and, specially, the fact that SETRAM logistic terminal in the Port of Barcelona, as well as SETRAM transport services, have still been considered by ANFAC as one of the best services in Spain.
With this contract, SETRAM confirms that using just one operator for the whole logistic chain, from the port reception to the technical preparation, the traceability control, the management of the custom space and the distribution transport, is the best integral solution that can be offered to an automobile company in economic and quality terms.
